Making a difference in someone’s life is easier than we sometimes think. At Shores Hospice, volunteers are literally the heart of what we do, providing a special kind of caring and compassion for our patients and their families. Every day, volunteers make a difference in the lives of so many people. Whether it is offering a listening ear to patients and families, assisting with daily household activities for patients, providing grief support, offering companionship to loved ones or sharing personal expertise to help promote hospice care, the hours our volunteers give to families can be the most rewarding experience of their lives. 

Shores Hospice welcomes interested and dedicated volunteers throughout the year to serve our patients and families. Volunteering at Shores Hospice is flexible, fulfilling, and no previous experience is required! Our volunteers serve in many different capacities within the agency, including:

• Caregiver respite
• Companionship for patients
• Administrative and clerical tasks
• Assisting with special events
